At the MVA in Salisbury MD, there is an information desk. I think it should be the law that there be an information desk in all DMV locations. If you have one question that requires little time, you should not have to wait 2 hours (or however long), to get that question answered and then have to get back in that line for your main visit. Accepting defeat, I decided to go home and come back another day. As I walked back to my car I also realized I needed to get a replacement registration card as the ink had somehow worn off of the original that was in my car. I've been driving around for the last 8 or 9 months without a current registration card and no current proof of insurance. I need to take care of this pronto.
That night I went to bed after midnight because the 2012 Olympic games in London are on. So you can imagine that sleeping in would be a necessity. Confusion and bewilderment and some vague fear set in when my phone went off at 5:30 in the morning. The vague fear I mentioned was due to the fact that I could only manage a little since I was asleep and trying to figure out what was going on. It was an 800 number however so I ignored it. I was smart too because I turned off my phone. When I looked at it 5 hours later at the more godly hour of 10:30 the number had called me 2 more times. Instinctively I just knew it was Best Buy wanting to know why I was five days late on my payment. Later in the day the number called me again TWO TIMES IN A ROW. What the heck is wrong with these people? I answered the second call ready to give them a piece of my mind, and sure enough it was Best Buy, or more accurately Capital One. I spent the next ten minutes being kind of a jerk to the guy on the phone. I told him it was unacceptable (an adjective I picked up from my dad) that I was getting called that early. The man informed me that an automated phone system dials the calls, which made me wonder in my mind, "Yeah like they can't set that automated dialer to call at a later time."
Whatever, it's over now, but these are a few of the circumstances in my life that have been madness lately....... those and accidentally (for the second time in my life) buying devil food chocolate donuts instead of regular chocolate donuts. I get so mad at myself when I do that. My advice for now is to avoid the DMV at all costs, don't get a Best Buy credit card because you will lose your job therefore being unable to make your payments and you will be harassed with phone calls until you answer from being driven mad, and most importantly: always, ALWAYS remember to check the box of Entanmann's donuts before purchasing them, or else your life will be filled with madness for a day, just like mine!
