People are generous (period). I have great news to share: I have currently have $1222 for Thailand!
I will be going to Thailand relatively soon. Wow. I can not wait to see what Remember Nhu has done for so many children there. I don't know at this exact moment when I will be going, but I know the Lord's hand is on this and it is so amazing to see Him work through His body. I need to prepare all the questions I want to ask so that when I return home I can communicate effectively with those churches who have partnered financially with Remember Nhu so they can continue their work.
A few weeks ago I was able to email with a gal who is working with Remember Nhu stateside as well. She was saying how whenever she receives her donations in the mail she feels accountable to those who have partnered with her financially. I think that thought is a great motivation to work hard on behalf of the children and the financial partners. The same is said for those who partner through emotional and prayer and networking support! How awesome it will be to be supported in so many ways by other believers <3
I will hopefully be speaking to a women's group at a church on April 1st so prayers for that night would be welcomed as I will potentially be talking for an hour and a half!
I can't wait to share stories and photos with you all once I return from Thailand.
One final thought: the title of this blog post is 'crazy blessed,' and when people donate their hard-earned money and give back to the Lord by supporting a missionary, I do consider that being crazy blessed. But there is another truth I must cling to: I am already "crazy blessed." All the days that pass where family is alive and healthy, I am healthy and the Lord has been kind (understatement) and just the knowledge that He died for me in spite of my trust issues and doubts: every day no matter the circumstances I am so blessed. I don't know about you, but I have to cling to that and remind myself every day that no matter what - God breathed life into me both literally and spiritually. And THAT my friends is what makes us all Crazy Blessed.
